LYNAS - PERMOHONAN MAAF SUDAH TIDAK BERMAKNA....RAAYAT TELAH LAMA DI PERBODOHKAN

Australian rare earths mining firm Lynas Corp. has scored another win, this time against the Malaysian group which has been spreading false claims against the safety of the miner's rare earths processing plant in Malaysia.

On Tuesday, the protest group Save Malaysia Stop Lynas (SMSL) published an apology letter to Lynas Corp in the news portal www.freemalaysiatoday.com.
"We refer to the articles previously published by us which claim that the Lynas plant may be unsafe," SMSL's letter went. "We apologise for these publications as such claims do not have a scientific basis. The regulatory review of the Lynas plant has been thorough and diligent."
In mid-April, the Australian rare earths producer lodged separate defamation proceedings in the Malaysian legal system against FMT and SMSL due to their defamatory articles published on their online news portal and blog site, respectively.
In its injunction application, Lynas Corp. wants the two parties prohibited from further publishing defamatory articles on the company as well as on its Lynas Advance Materials Plant (LAMP) facility in Gebeng, Kuantan. It likewise seeks general damages and aggravated damages and costs.
The Malaysian High Court initially scheduled to hear in mid-June the injunction application, but later moved to July 19 to give SMSL more time to file its affidavit-in-reply.
Lynas Corp. said it was forced to file the complaint because some of the claims of SMSL had crossed the line between debate and defamation.
The LAMP facility had been under fire since February 2012 when Malaysia's Atomic Energy Licensing Board granted Lynas Corp. the two-year temporary operating licence (TOL) needed to officially jumpstart the plant's operation. But the TOL has been challenged by protests groups, environmentalists as well as Malaysian political wannabes.
Lynas Corp.'s LAMP facility is already 98 per cent done under phase one construction.
